The Best Chex Mix for the Fall
I found this Chex Mix recipe on Pinterest (Pugs and Pans). I made Christmas baskets for my family last year and this was one of the items included. I'll tell you more about my gift baskets in December.
This salty deliciousness is easy to prepare and better than anything you'd buy in the store! You can give it as a gift or keep some in a jar on your counter. Just be sure to thank me later. Enjoy!
PREP TIME: 10 mins
COOK TIME: 1 hour
TOTAL TIME: 1 hour 10 mins
This Chex Mix is the best I've ever had! I hope you enjoy it.
Serves: About 12 Cups
INGREDIENTS
6 tablespoons salted butter
9 cups Chex cereal (I use an even mix of Corn and Rice Chex)
1 cup roasted peanuts
1 cup pretzel sticks
1 cup Goldfish crackers
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1½ teaspoons seasoned salt
¾ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
Place the butter in a 9x13 pan and place it in the oven to melt the butter.
While the butter is melting, mix the Chex, peanuts, pretzels, and Goldfish in a large bowl.
Once the butter is melted, remove the pan from the oven and add Worcestershire, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder to the butter. Mix all the ingredients in the pan until well combined.
Add the cereal mixture to the pan and stir well to make sure all pieces get covered with the seasoned butter.
Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes until done.
