My 3 Men

THE GENERAL

When they say opposites attract how true is it?
Joe and I are different in many ways.
He's organized... I go with the fLOw.
His word is his bond... Mine is subject to change.
His motto, "Early is on-time and on-time is late"... Mine, "I'll be there in five minutes (as I quickly hop in the shower)"!
He earned the nickname "The General" because of his leadership skills on the basketball court. However, the nickname reaches beyond the court and perfectly describes him at home. Without "The General" helping to lead our family, this easy-breezy scatterbrained girl would have our family living in a cold and dark house with no power or running water (Joking. I'm extremely forgetful, but it hasn't gotten that bad yet.).
So, do opposites attract? Sometimes. Does it work? Sometimes. As Joe and I approach five years of marriage, we are finding our stride and learning to appreciate the differences that bring balance to our home. Everyday I am grateful that God sent me this amazing father for my children and extremely thoughtful husband.

JOE JOE THE GREAT

My first born. My heart. Forever my baby.
There is a book called, LOve You Forever by Robert Munsch about a mother and her son.  I read this book to Joe Joe almost everyday during the first year of his life. In the book, from the time the son is a baby until he is an adult, his mother would sing this song to him:
"I'll LOve you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As LOng as I'm living
my baby you'll be."
This song perfectly describes my feelings toward Joe Joe. Every "first" I've experienced as a mother was with him. For this reason he'll always hold a special place in my heart and "as LOng as I'm living my baby he'll be." Joe Joe, is my overly sensitive, smarty pants and dinosaur LOver.

ACTION JAXON

People have told me there is something more challenging about your second child and when Jaxon came I understood what that meant.  He shook things up! Just when I thought I was "a pro" Jax came aLOng and said, "No ma'am! You know nothing"! I like to think that I am an extremely patient person. Jax showed me otherwise.
Feisty, happy, smart, charming and athletic are just a few words that describe him. But, the one word that best describes Jaxon is... ACTION!

Even though Jax can be a handful, he is such a LOving and friendly kid. We all call him Action Jaxon, but secretly I call him my little LOver.
